Examinations for Newborns at Dino-Peds

After your son or daughter is born, the first step to ensuring they lead a healthy life is scheduling a newborn exam at our pediatric office. Our board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Etcheverry focuses on providing quality preventative care to children of all ages throughout the Grand Junction area. We provide care to children through each of their vital developmental stages, from infancy to the age of 21.

An exam for a newborn:

We suggest that your newborn be seen 2 to 3 days after they are discharged if healthy from the hospital, and then again at 1 month.

Further exams go by the American Academy of Pediatric guidelines, which say a child should be seen at 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 24 months, 30 months, 3 years and yearly after that.
